Role Overview
Sayenko Kharenko is seeking a mid-level or senior lawyer to join its Banking & Finance practice. The role involves managing transactional workstreams, drafting and negotiating financing and security documents, advising on banking and regulatory matters, supervising junior lawyers, and coordinating with clients and foreign counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transactions or individual workstreams independently with limited supervision, coordinating with foreign counsel and other practice groups.
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of primary transactional documents, including facility agreements and security agreements.
- Provide legal advice and opinions on regulatory matters, including currency control and banking regulations, with minimal supervision.
- Supervise and coordinate junior legal team members, delegate tasks, review work products, and contribute to their professional development.
- Act as one of the team's primary client contacts, coordinating client queries and tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree from a leading law university.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a law firm or a similar role.
- Full professional fluency in Ukrainian and English.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
