Rashtriya Raksha University is organising the third RRU International Moot Court Competition from 20-22 November 2026 at its Lavad campus in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The competition focuses on International Law, global peace and security and offers cash prizes, RCIL internships and scholarships for selected international teams.

About The Organiser
Rashtriya Raksha University, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is organising RIMC 2026 through the School of Criminal Law and Military Law and the RRU Centre for International Law.
About The Event
The third RRU International Moot Court Competition focuses on contemporary issues in International Law and International Security. It encourages participants to analyse evolving global realities and develop principled solutions grounded in recognised sources of International Law.
Eligibility
- Bona fide students regularly enrolled in a three-year or five-year undergraduate law programme, or its equivalent, at a recognised institution in India or abroad.
- Ordinarily, one team may represent each recognised institution.
- Where a university has constituent colleges, each college may register separately, or the university may send a team comprising students from different constituent colleges.
Competition Structure
- Memorial Elimination Round, selecting 30 teams for the Oral Rounds.
- Oral Rounds comprising preliminary rounds, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
Prizes And Scholarships
- Winning Team: INR 75,000 or USD 777 and an internship at RCIL.
- Runner-Up Team: INR 50,000 or USD 518 and an internship at RCIL.
- Best Speaker: INR 30,000 or USD 311.
- Best Memorial: INR 30,000 or USD 311.
- The top 12 international teams will receive scholarships of USD 1,000 each, subject to the RIMC Rule Book.
Registration Fee
No registration or accommodation, including food, fee will be charged to teams that qualify through the Memorial Elimination Round and advance to the Oral Rounds.
Important Dates
- Invitation to submit Letter of Intent and Letter of Authorization: 25 July 2026.
- Release of clarification, if any: 25 August 2026.
- Registration form and memorial submission deadline: 15 September 2026.
- Memorial Elimination Round results: 1 October 2026.
- RIMC inaugural ceremony: 20 November 2026.
- Final and valedictory ceremony: 22 November 2026.

Registration Process
Separate registration forms are provided for national and international teams. Teams must submit the Letter of Intent, Letter of Authorization and memorial within the prescribed timeline.

Rules and requirements
- Letter of Intent and Letter of Authorization must be submitted
- Thirty teams will advance from memorial evaluation to the Oral Rounds
- International scholarship recipients must remain present in person for International Law Week from 20 November to 5 December 2026
Accommodation
Guest accommodation and mess facilities are described in the brochure; qualifying Oral Round participants are not charged an accommodation fee, including food.
Travel information
The brochure states approximate distances of 35 km from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, 30 km from Ahmedabad and 25 km from Gandhinagar to RRU.
